Walking to Indiana

Here are some pictures from when we walked from Kentucky to Indiana!!!!  It was exhausting ;)  We rented a surrey too.  It was a fun day.  First time we saw a Polo game in person.

Front Porch Living

Wyatt said he wants a porch just like this!  We could just rock and talk.  Sounds good to me ;) 

Two Fish and Daddy

Well our Free Fishing Day was hot and cold. 

I caught a little bluegill, for Cody according to Cody ;) 

Addie caught a bigger bluegill and a Daddy.  We ended up in the ER after Mike tried to free his finger; he even drove himself to the hospital. 

We will give it a second chance tonight.  ER visit number one on our adventure.

Here is our "new" Ford Excursion and travel trailer.  No more sharing beds or sleeping on couches; the kids are extatic! 

Unexpected Blessings

God sure does it right!  We were out of state at the beginning of May when we found out our move was shifted forward a week.  We had four days to get home and finish sorting, packing, cleaning, and everything else. 

We just barely made it for Moving Monday, but we did it!  Our moving crew was great; the best we've ever had!  We made a last minute trip to my parent's house to store "unauthorized" household goods.  The trip was fun, but super fast. 

Then back to our mostly empty house for more sorting, packing, and cleaning...  We were making great progress and had mostly everything packed in the camper for our trip and the rest in our second car to head back to my parents for storage. 

My sister came down to help out and have some fun!  We had a great visit!  After some suspected car problems, that turned into a blessing, we were left with an extra car.  It was an unexpected blessing, since we weren't quite done sorting (unknown to us ;).  We now have a traveling warehouse for a few more weeks.

Staying on camper and air matresses for several weeks, while eating at an aluminum folding table and lawn chairs had it's moments.  It ended up being an amazing blessing!!!!  When everything, but what is important is stripped away it,  really makes you focus on what matters most.  We truly had nothing but eachother to concentrate on.   I realized why camping around our country will be so awesome!  We will be able to rebuild our faith and family.  Life has been very hard the last several years and we need to step back to fix what has been broken.

Through this all, I have stopped and counted all our blessings.  We are surrounded by amazing people:  our dentist office, orthodontist office, neighbors, family, friends, and so many people around our community.  My faith in humanity and people has been reignited.  People are so good and if you take the time to talk to them they will leave an eternal mark in your life!  This summer is about taking the time to do that.  To stretch beyond our comforts and create lasting memories. 

We want to see the country our family has spent so much time helping protect.  To enjoy God's creation and His most precious gift:  people!  I look forward to meeting lots of special people as we roam the country!  Who knows it may ended up for a year instead of just a summer ;)
